It has though came to conclusion that due to the efforts of avoiding groups like the MADD, the penalties and consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs have gotten much stiffer. The highest alcohol level was 0.1% and the lowest was 0.05%. Now drivers are considered legally drunk when their blood alcohol level is 0.08%. Alcohol related accidents are so prevalent, it is estimated that 40% of all persons in the united states will be involved in a traffic mishap blamed on alcohol at some point in their lives. Never take anything for granted because you never ever know if you will be killed by a drunk driver, or even somebody not paying attention, or messing around in a car. I have also learned from last summers past experience with three of the best kids at Lincoln High School to always be friends or acquaintance with people at your school because you never know who you might lose. Sometimes people don’t take others peoples feelings and actions into consideration. In a car to sometimes people tend to think that maybe their cell phone is more important at the time then what could happen in the next three seconds by looking down at the phone.
