Major Automobile Maker's Sales Over the Past Year

General Motors’s reported sales increase is certainly better than Ford’s sales report because Ford did not factor the two fewer selling days. If both companies did not account for the two fewer selling days, then General Motors would have reported a six and one half percent decrease in sales and Ford would still report a twelve percent decrease. As both companies reported, bad weather in the past month has had a negative impact on auto sales nationwide. The snow storms in the north have prevented customers, employees, and goods from reaching the dealerships.
