Hispanic essay

...o the Spanish music. I’ve attended Latinos festivals in various towns in Ohio. When I hear Spanish music, it gives me a feeling of pride and knowing that’s a part of who I am. As a cheerleader I’ve helped lead a cheerleading camp for young girls from the community. I’ve sung and accompanied on piano for my High School Chorus at the community retirement village. My piano teacher has held Christmas recitals, spring recitals, and pop concerts for the community in which I’ve participated. Piano has been an important part of my life for the past seven years. It’s given me an outlet to relax from the pressures of my world. I’ve had advanced faster than most students of my piano teacher, moving up three levels in one year’s time. Art has given me the pleasure to express myself. I enjoy creating things with my hands. My drawings and sculptures have won ribbons in my school and county art shows. On my own time, I’ve created drawings and paintings for my personal pleasure. Science has been an area of interest to me. I have achieved high scores in Act tests, A’s and B’s in all my science classes the past four years, and passed the science portion of the Ohio proficiency test my freshman year. Currently, I’m the only Hispanic in my senior Advanced Placement Physics class and to my knowledge I am one of the few Hispanics in that class from the past four year...
