...d from these suppliers had quality problems. The parts could not be easily assembled due to a lot of the parts were dimensionally out of tolerance. It took a long time to adjust these out of tolerance parts. This had slow down production greatly, causing a lot of down time and production reject. Production output was low, overhead cost (rental plus labor cost ) was fixed, the company could not produce the required quantity to break even. In this case, we cover Robin Hood and how his endeavor turns from a small one into something much larger than what he planned. The first apparent problem is one of a lack of foresight on Robin’s behalf. Robin seemed to have no plan of where he wanted to go or be after he started his personal crusade against the sheriff. In essence, he had no goal other than the opened ended aim of disrupting the sheriff’s plans. Other problem is one of organization. Again, we see Robin’s short-sighted planning as he only accounted for managing a small ensemble against the sheriff and did not account for serving many more men. There are some positive notes in that he delegated some responsibilities to his lieutenants instead of trying to micromanage every aspect of his venture, but there is also the part of logistics that was not accounted for, especially as the Merrymen continued to grow in numbers. An additional problem is that Robin did not fully account for his competition to continue to grow in size as his party did. I liked it to him being a squeaky wheel, which almost always gets grease (good or bad). It all basically comes down to not having a goal. This makes matters much more difficult than they have to be when your venture goes from something small to a big time operation.
