Also, since I was having some misfortune in finding someone to job shadow I promptly decided to change my topic to a related topic. The topic I chose to study was business finance/accounting. These two topics I believe will also help me in owning and starting my own business because they will allow me to make better decisions with my money. Like, knowing when and what stocks to place my money in so that it can grow more rapidly and quickly. Because I switched my subject to more of a business related career I had an opportunity to job shadow the Director of Business at the Northwest Administration Building. My job shadowing experience helped me understand accounting and business more clearly and accurately. People who work in finance and business are responsible for managing money and being able to know where the money will come from, where it is, and what to spend the money on that will effect the business in a god way. Finance people also review the revenue and expense accounts in order to ensure the most effective use of capital. It typically depends on the company’s size and stage of development to influence what tasks the finance department will undertake in a day (wet feet). “Accounting concerns itself with day-to-day operations.
