High School Drop-outs
...other main cause of the amount of students dropping out of school is the curriculum. During the last two or so years the government decided to eliminate grade thirteen. This meant cramming five years into four. This made the curriculum much harder. Students had to adjust and work much harder. This caused problems, some students just could not keep up with this change and others didn’t want to try. Therefore maybe if the curriculum hadn’t of been changed fewer people be dropping out of school. The last example of why students have been dropping out of school is laziness. Teenagers want to have fun. Sitting in a classroom all day for seven hours a day five days a week is not most people’s idea of fun. School brings along many other boring things one example of this is homework. Teenagers would rather be out with their friends rather then doing their homework. They are just too lazy. The three examples listed are just a few of the reasons students are dropping out of school there are many more and all of them come down to a dramatic effect on society. The amount of educated students will decrease maybe to the point when certain careers will be in demand of educated students. They are also wrecking their future. In today’s society a non-educated person is less likely to get a well-paid job. It could carry out as far as them not having enough money to support themselves. There will be less of a demand for teachers and some might even loose their jobs. The student’s parents will be affected as well. They will have to have to live with the fact that their child i...
