Furthermore, as I continued to read the poem, I felt as though the writer was trying to get his readers to believe that his lover was soft and beautiful. He also had me to believe that she was someone he love to be around, because he compared his lover to, “ a melody that’s sweetly played in tunes,” and when I think of a melody sweetly played in a tune,” I think of beauty and to compare that to his love for her also has me to believe that he wants to get his reader’s minds on a soft melody so as they read the poem, the melody will be ringing in the back of their minds. Now as the writer has my mind on a soft melody, I begin to get caught up in his words. The writer catches my attention when he repeats line eight twice. In my opinion that signifies that he really wants to gets his lover to really believe what he saying. He mentions in lines eight and nine that he will love her, “till a’ the seas gang dry,” which I believe means he will love her forever because no one believes that large seas will come together and dry up. It’s just like when people say “every blue moon,” that just means, “every now and then.” The writer goes on to say that he will love her until that rocks melt with the sun. I do believe based on known facts that the sun helps rocks to form, so I think the writer means his love is forever...
