...nd told us what had happened in New York. What I thought was just a sick prank turned out to be reality. We quickly plugged in a television and tuned to the news. It is one thing to hear about something as terrible as mass death, but to see it is gut wrenching. We sat there watching replays of the first plane hitting tower one and then plane two hit the next tower but then I remember hearing the girls in the class crying and asking why. Even I had to admit I wanted to cry but I managed to stay together. I remember when the Pentagon was hit and the other plane went down. I could only think about the families of the ones in danger. At that time I really didn’t know anything about terrorist, nonetheless thought anyone would hate America. For the rest of the day the class was glued to the television. When the towers fell one by one I remember my stomach sinking each time. I remember the streets glazed over in a white powder and papers everywhere. There was a silence in the room for about a minute. “Who would do such thing?” I asked myself over and over. I went home early that day and I ended up laying in bed all afternoon.
