A Genuine and Admirable Woman
...d would happen to someone that she cared about the wheels started turning. She would quickly create a way to present something special that would either ease the pain of someone suffering or to build an everlasting memory of an occasion or circumstance that deemed necessary to be remembered. One weekend she and I went to my cabin in the mountains. During the course of the weekend many things happened which turned out to be the most expensive weekend for me throughout my entire life. After spraining my ankle coming out of my dad’s back door while sneaking some Cheez Its (which he had no clue), being thrown off the barge into the river and losing my glasses she felt it necessary to make it a memorable occasion. The following weekend was Labor Day when many of our friends and relatives came for the holiday. She and my brother were in a canoe on the river the entire day and I just figured that they were enjoying each other’s company. When evening approached the kids kept encouraging me to go to my brothers’ cabin until I finally relented and went. With an ankle in a brace and still in pain I hobbled to his cabin and sat down around the campfire. Everyone seemed to be snickering when my brother started playing a song on the guitar. It was then apparent that they had all been practicing the chorus throughout the early evening. To this day, every time we are at the cabin “The Legend Of The Cheez It Bandit” is one of the most requested sing-a-long songs ever written from things experienced at the farm. It was so easy to see the genuine “Love For Life” that Tawna exhibited. The determination she possessed to accomplish whatever she needed was never stopped because she didn’t “think she could”. With a gorgeous smile came that little giggle she so often had no matter what the task was that she was facing. Her determination and belief in herself was so strong that she would tackle any obstacle that crossed her path. She educated herself with a Bachelor’s Degree making sure that she would be able to obtain a life style comfortable for her needs. She bought her own house and fixed it up to match her colorful personality. Anything she wanted she would find a way to obtain it without the need of having to rely on someone else’s help. If she saw a need that a friend had she would encourage them and be willing to help them go the extra mile with the happiest contrite spirit. She purely loved living life. The stead fast way that Tawna lived her life on a day-to-day basis showed me how to c...
