...dousing in the salty water, until we were too exhausted to keep our heads above the water. Then we would lie on the soft moist sand and take a doze. It felt so satisfying to have the illuminated sun kindle down on me. My preferred thing to do was construct immense sand castles on the beach. My cousin and I would have competitions to see who could build the tallest sand castle. The grains of sand shimmer in the sun like a diamond ring. I will never forget how the enormous berry trees towered over me. Every day my grandpa would pick me an berry; they were so juicy! The berries were thick, round, and black. It tasted smooth, fresh tasting, thick and seedless. Every time I think about an berry, my mouth waters, and I think of how mellow they taste. During the vacation I stayed at the Amari Coral Beach Resort Sited on a secluded headland at the southern corner of Patong, Phuket's most popular beach, The Amari Coral Beach Resort affords spectacular views of the picturesque bay. Normally bedtime was a dilemma for me, but in Thailand I fell right to sleep every night. I would leave the windows wide open, and I would fall asleep to the waves jostling on the sandy beach.
