...ent executing more so, has been a problem. There has been a serious lack of involvement from my building in the last two months of the semester, including one event attended by me, one of my CAs and Meghan McKenna. A down point, I must admit. Disorganization is what kills an event and the reputation of an organization. Rave reviews about Trad move-in prompted a huge turn-out at Rez Rodeo and the Carnival, and the opposite at Apartment move-in. It was dull and unexciting, with no welcoming committee like the one that greeted trad. This made it difficult to create enthusiasm, especially since it was not accompanied by a large event that evening. General Council meetings can be somewhat tedious. They are extremely important to our organization but it needs to be explicitly explained that we, as SR’s, vote based on what our floor thinks. As well, it needs to be discussed the purpose of a COMMITTEE!!! If you have a wide variety of comments on the subject, JOIN THE COMMITTEE!! Do not feel the need to discuss it at length and repeat subjects over and over again. This has improved recently. Cracking the whip is a good thing. As far as content is concerned, everything we discuss is reasonable and important and I feel like the meetings allow the gallery to experience what our organization can do and what we are involved in. SUGGESTIONS Personal (For the next NO SR): -Start strong and strike while the iron is hot. I had 35 people (half the building) attend my first event, a huge success. If I had carried on in the first month, before people got busy, there may have been more interaction without my prompting. -Do door to doors in the first two weeks, without your CAs.
