Now with temperatures hitting around 130 degrees in the summer time there was no air conditioning, refrigeration or water which made life miserably unbearable. Iraq started blaming Americans because now the Iraqi an people with basically nothing, no jobs and no money to support themselves or families they started becoming looters or joining the guerrilla forces. As a result of Iraqi an people joining the Guerrilla Forces this in turn started the second phase of combat. The Guerrillan War Fare insurgents launched daily attacks on the coalition forces and United States soldiers resulting in mounting casualties. The Guerrilla forces generally ambushed convoys on the roads and then quickly they disappeared just as fast as they appeared. There was an enormous amount of conventional weapons available in the stores of Iraq, one million tons which made it easy for Iraqains to acquire weapons anywhere. The United States Army of Defense, Paul Wolfonite believed that the Iraqi an army was destroyed. He did not believe that there would be anymore fighting against the United States Troops but now United States Troops were fighting with Guerrilla War Fare who loyal followers of Saddam Hussein. The Guerrilla’s start attacking United States Troops on average of 25 troops a day. The insurgents eventually began to employ terrorist tactics on foreign and Iraq civilians. A huge explosion just outside the Jordanian embassy in Bagdad on August 7th killed at least 17 people. The explosion was so powerful it reduced the front of the building to rubble. Less than two weeks later another very powerful bomb exploded outside the office of the United Nations in Bagdad killing 22 people. A suicide bomber detonated a second device by the same complex on September 22nd killing himself and an Iraqi policeman. In October another suicide bomber hid inside an ambulance that has hit the head quarters of the International Commit of the Red cross in Bagdad.
