Success: What Is It?
...ort lived. Is that truly an achievement? Are they set for life as being someone who is successful? What about people who come from money and can do whatever they want like starring in movies, designing a clothing line or having a hit single; is that success as well? If you were really rich and could do just about anything, doesn’t that ruin the hard work and struggling that most people do to get close to there? Some dads work many hours into the nights and travel around the world for work, making lots of money; but they never see their families often. So in the end is having everything all that great if you rarely get to do much else? Having good relationships and getting along with many people can be a different form of success . If you are lucky in love, then you can be successful in social aspects. Having a good personality and having people being there for you all the time can mean you are very successful. This is because having people in your life is satisfying and makes you happy. Some people don’t care if they are making much money but as long as they have the people in their life that they love they are satisfied and may consider themselves successful, in the aspect of life overall. A type of success for students can be doing well in school. Here in Wilton, especially, kids stress about getting into the right college and getting into the right classes to get there. Kids here strive for A’s and doing well on tests such as the SAT’s. In addition to academics, students here are also striving to be successful as a well rounded student. Such as doing well in sports and practicing hard to get somewhere in them. Also, they work hard to do well in clubs and other extracurricular. All of this is done to help them be successful for getting into the right college. People will look at the kid and see them and sort of judge them on how they do in school.
