E.g. ‘stallion’ BOXES, YARDS, PADDOCKS AND LANEWAYS. 1 Back paddocks fences need to be tightened. 2 There are six paddock poles lying around at the end of laneway which is a hazard. 3 Pothole in back paddock where pole has been taken out and has not been filled. 4 Water troughs need to be cleaned. 5 Free of splinters, potholes, cracks and sharp edges. FIRE EQUIPMENT/EVACUATION PROCEDURES 1 No evacuation procedure. 2 No alarm system. 3 Fire extinguisher in a easy to access place. 4 No Signage above fire extinguisher. 5 Clearly marked cut-off switches for electrical circuits. WORK PRACTICES (SIGNAGE, FIRST AID EQUIPMENT, ISOLATION PROCEDURES, MANUAL HANDLING ETC.) 1 No place to isolate sick horses 2 First aid needs to be updated as some things are missing. E.g. bandaids. 3 No Hazard reporting procedure. 4 Correct manual handling procedures. CHEMICALS (VETERINARY PRODUCTS) 1 No Labeling on Some chemicals. 2 Chemicals are stored appropriately 3 There are Flammable substances in the stable. TACK ROOM AND STORAGE AREAS 1 Tack room very organized. 2 Feed and tack should be in separate rooms. 3 Saddles st...
