We also asked the girls what they were doing that night, and said “Do ya’ll what to hangout with us tonight.” When I was young, I always liked making friends. I believe that because I was social, I have expanded my knowledge by sharing my thoughts and feelings with people. If I had a problem, I would talk to one of my friends and they would give me some advice. For example, when I went to practice for Indoor track, I sometimes got discouraged of what to do in my high jumps, so I talked to my friends. It was as if I could not do it, but I had the tools to get over the bar. My coaches saw me practicing hard everyday, but I didn’t produce enough effort to get the job done. Sometimes I felt bad because I knew that I gave it my best. At that time, my teammates stepped up and encouraged me to keep trying and never give up. That’s why we are here to help each other. I used that advice now and I have more confidence. I feel that if they had a problem too, I would be there for them and give them the same helpful advice they gave me. Growing up in group homes and foster homes taught me how to make a lot of friends. It was like living with a big family, we all stuck together, from bad times to good times, and I will never forget that. I can honestly say that what I am today is because my family, friends, my best friend Chris speck, and the way that I was raised. Even though it is easy for me to make friends, I am not always very social. My parents are not very sociable people either. I guess I got my lack of socialness from them. I didn’t like that trait, so I wanted to change because it was a very lonely and boring life and I didn’t like to see other people having fun with their friends, while I was by myself having nobody to talk to me. I feel that having friends played a big role in my life. Ever since I was a child I always dreamed of what it would be like to have brothers and sisters. Because I didn’t have any brother and sisters, I always wanted to make close friends, so that I could consider them like siblings to me. Having female friends is nice to be around too because they are very sensitive and caring people. They have a great feeling that touches my heart. It is hard for a person to be single and lonely. Therefore, I started talking to intelligent women in the chat rooms. Most of the time it works, but it depends on what type of relationship you are looking for. ...
