Analysis of Fathers and sons

...been proven. Bazarov is an extremist in his view while Arkady’s views are a bit more conservative. When Arkady brings Bazarov home to meet his parents and stay with him for a while Bazarov, although very polite, comes off as rude because of his extreme views. Bazarov feels that Arkady’s father and uncle are of an older generation and therefore are more inclined to be falsely assured of truths, consequently he feels that he is better than them. Bazarov’s views are not discriminating either because he is easily annoyed by his own parents as well but is a little more compassionate toward them.
