A Significant event in my life
...hers foot completly broken, hanging from her socks. I managed to call the 911 line and the ambulance took quite a while to get there . My mother was very strong and held on me the whole time. When the ambulance arrived, they took her to the emergency . I was there all the time. She had surgery and for Gods blessing , the surgery was done sucessfully. She had inmput eight screwls over her lower ankle and bottom foot to fix the damage. After this accident we moved to Pompano Beach my mother could not walk yet, my life was very hard because I could not attend school because I had to take care of my mother. I was only fifteen years old. At first I hated the fact that I had moved to the United States, I was suffering a lot, mostly because of what had happened to my mother that had me confined at home, could not go to school and start a new life, I also missed my family at lot, my father the most because I was really close to my father, more than my mother. We had to pretend to our family that everything was ok, to not worry them. The truth is that as a young teen I was very scared and lost. Johnson&Johnson of course took care of everything my mother needed, she had health plan from the company. After about four months in bed my mother began terapphy that helped her walk again. Life changed completely, i was so happy for her , she began to feel confident about herself again and our live got much better. Six months after the accident my mother returned to work, i could feel the life back in her smile and how happy she was to be back to her normal life. What happened made a bound between us , me and my mother became very close. After my mother got better we moved to Brickell, thats when life started in the US for me.
