A curriculum based upon years of research and input from leading experts in early childhood education. Stage of Development We will accept ages beginning at 6 weeks old to 5 years old. We offer year round programs and age-specific curricula develop to grow with your child and help prepare him/her for a lifetime of learning and success. Product/Service Limitations Infants 6 months to 12 months are cared for in a warm, loving, infant only environment- similar to the one they have at home, where they can build trust in themselves and those who care for them. Your child will continue to receive intellectual and physical stimulation to development. Toddlers 1-2 years old introducing plenty of songs, books and art projects our teachers and associates will lead, responding to their interests in stories, songs and play to help them grow and learn with confidence. For the two year olds this will help prepare your child for preschool by developing his/her understanding of new concepts, language, vocabulary and sensory motor skills. Ages 3-5 the curriculum focuses on early literacy and prewriting skills. We perform ongoing assessments of your child’s progress throughout the year. Governmental Approvals Our government approvals will come from Health Inspections, Nutrition Board, and a city license to operate the daycare. Product/Service Liability Every child should provide proof of insurance by the parent. Because of accidents that do occur in many child care facilities. We also have a policy for picking up children no one will be released unless their name is on a pick-up list. Medication will only be give to child that is prescribed by a doctor. Competition Profile We can also get upperclassmen at our local colleges to visit and demonstrate such things as drawing, working with clay, building with wood, making things out of paper, and hundreds of other talents or skills they might be learning. The important thing is to bring "outsiders" in to talk to the kids about what goes on in their world. Some states require that you have a registered nurse on the premises, but generally, the main things needed are medical information from the parents and a written procedure to follow in case of accident or illness. Basically, when a child is injured or becomes ill, you should take him to the nearest medical center, while another staff person gets in touch with the parents, and explains what happened. If the parent cannot be present at the medical center, all information should be passed on to him/her immediately it is available. We will have all or our helpers indoctrinated with basic Red Cross first aid knowledge, and have a well-equipped first aid kit on the premises. As for any requirements relative to a full-time nurse, we will hire registered nurses who is either not working or looking for extra income. We pay a small fee to hang her license in our office, and she agrees to be available to serve our needs when we call. Our sign will state all essential information, and serve to convince passers-by that we can handle their child- care problems whenever the need arises. If we initially locate in, or through the sponsorship of a church or labor union, these people can assist us tremendously by including a mention of our services in their membership bulletins, and by passing out circulars or flyers. The first step will be door-to-door, handout distribution of a quality informative brochure. To save on costs, we will hire students attending advertising classes in our area colleges or even a freelance advertising copywriter to help us with the design and writing of this brochure. However, the bottom line will be that we have a good commercial printer do the printing on the best paper we can afford. All of this has to do with the image we want to create, and the quality of the service the “buyers” feel they’re getting for the prices we are charging.
