...vastating, but I was taught a very good lesson. All the obstacles I went though helped me to deal with situations in life. I ask many of my family member do they remember what I went through coming up as a young boy. They thought I was crazy when I ask them that question because it affected the family so much. My grandmother got emotional and my father didn’t even want to talk about it. My mom was okay about answering the question, but she really didn’t want to talk about it. My aunts, uncles, and friends felt really bad also because they saw what I was going through. Another important person that helped me to get through one of the obstacles is my math teacher, Mrs. Legette. She said that I am the strongest person she has ever met so far. She also stated that I am determined and I will not let anything come in my way, and she respects me for that. Mrs. Legette always told me “don’t quit”. Although these injuries were very devastating, I felt that I had to go through these things for a reason. I take it as God breaking something down and rebuilding something more outstanding. I am very thankful that I have strengthened my body and become a very inspiring person. Since I don’t want to get into the discussion part in my process paper, I am going to end the process paper on the note of a poem entitled “Don’t Quit”. “Don’t Quit” is Mrs. Legette’s favorite poem.
