One of the main reasons that provoke the Europeans to travel to the east was the book by Marco Polo. This book was a book, which Marco polo wrote during his trip on Asia. This book was a book full of exaggerations, we can see in this in a quote about Japan. “In a country named Japan there is a city is made out of gold” Obviously Japan was not made of gold, in fact Marco Polo did not even travel to Japan. This book made Europeans travel to Asia and look for the gold that was written in the book, which lead to the Opium war, India Invasion, The fall of the Chung Dynasty and others. The book provoked them to go to Asia because of the fact you can be rich and there are lot of gold in Asia. Columbus, the person who discovered America, was he a hero that we should always remember or a person who lead pain through out South America. The discovery that Columbus made was not the greatest thing that could happen to some people. At that time South America had a lot of gold and was living peacefully until Columbus had to discover the “new world” and bring so much pain to them. The Europeans invaded the South America because of their greed, and desire to have more gold, which was money. How does the history of Australia begin? First it was an isolated island where the British used it for a prison. No one used to live there because they thought it was just a piece of big earth with dirt. But then the gold rush struck bringing thousands of immigrates to Australia. After humanity had its first contact with gold they began to know about other metals. The 2nd metal we discovered was copper. Copper is a reddish colored metal with a low boiling point. Since copper had a low boiling point we were able to extract it without high technology.
