However, the article does not come up with any survey or research result that shows that the reason of personnel bankruptcy is gambling in a casino. According to the U.S. Department of the Treasury investigation on this issue in 1999, it found “no connection between state bankruptcy rates and either the extent of or introduction of casino gambling” (Treasury 1999). This investigation shows that there should be some other reasons for personnel bankruptcy, such as unemployment or slow businesses. Fourth, the article mentions that existed businesses suffer from introducing casinos in town (white 1). A newly introduced hotel & casino resort should have fine restaurants that offer high quality of foods and services. Other than the restaurants, luxurious spa, clean and well designed pool, and many other facilities that bring people into the hotel would be equipped. The article asserts that these new facilities negatively affect existing local businesses. However, competition makes the operation more competitive and stronger, and the local businesses should try to overcome the crisis, then the crisis will turn out to be a success. In addition, as mentioned above, new gambling property brings many more people to the town. The people will impact more good than harm on those existed businesses.
