In the novel Tristan and Iseut, one finds a certain dramatic change in the story at a certain precise time of the sotry. ... King Marc was the uncle of Tristan and Tristan was to him its humble servant because he was orphan. However, Marc did not know that Tristan was its nephew and learn it when Tristan proposed to go to overcome Morhout. After the philtre, Tristan takes in conscience the relation that he has now with Marc, he is now his rival since Marc has Iseut like queen and then when Tristan and Iseut drank bleached on grass drinking they fell in love because that he was to bewitch by the sister of Iseut to allow Iseut to love king Marc but bleached on grass drinking was delivered in Tristan and Iseut by error of Brangraine.
