When they arrived at the track and Erik’s race began he realized that he was very far in front of the other kings. The next week at practice he was complimented on his win but also they began to pose in strange positions. Which he was told by Boitheia would make his muscles more loose. As he entered these poses more and more he began to get more and more flexible. He did not know this but him doing these stretches is what made him so quick. Boitheia had told Erik to only perform these at his house in order to keep it a secret. She also had only taught these to one other person Anteneteo who she knew would end up racing Erik. As Erik’s speed kept increasing he kept moving up and eventually was the fastest on their team and not to mention he was the youngest. Erik wanted to try something knew and then a new event was invented by the God of Track Manos. This event would be known as “High Jump” it required the participant to jump over a bar onto a soft mat. This event looked as if it was made for Erik. Then when he asked his coach if he could try high jump for a while his coach got angry and said no to him. He asked his coach again later and this time his coach agreed. When Erik went to try this event many people were better than him so he went to ask Boitheia if there were any stretches for this event.
