Why do people legislate?
...se of desire? Of course, desire is a neutral thing, but once it’s out of control it becomes disastrous. I’d like to explain why people make laws with an approach of biblical view. In God’s eyes, we humans are all sinners. We break the law of His and fall short of His glory. “Sin” this word is used exclusively to describe people breaking the law of the Holy One. It is first entered into the human body by the bite of that apple of Adam and Eve. In Exodus, it tells about the Ten Commandments of Moses, this was seen as the law from God, because right then the Jew didn’t set up their own country and there must be something to regulate the acts of them. Thus when Jesus Christ came to the earth and was asked by the Pharisees which was the greatest commandment in the law, he replied in Matthew 22:37-38: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Anything that is not of love can never be of God. No sooner than we follow love’s path had we been able to experience the immense satisfaction of being humans. In western world there are two famous scholars; one is the English Professor C. S. Lewis, the other being the famous discoverer of Psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud. Their experiences or you can say sufferings parallel to the extreme. Yet they chose the opposite way to respond to their circumstances, the former stood ever stronger in his faith, the latter rejected it. But ultimately they both would be judged by God. The different path, the alternative people choos...
