Rug Cleaning

...of information they can actually use. Even though the test is performed on rugs, the experiment will rally give one information they can use when dealing with clothing, or other materials. This way this project could at least have better interest than other projects that while are informative, I will never use in real life. The experiment involved testing four different variables; time, type of cleaner, number of applications, and water. By lining up five sample carpets and staining them eight times I was able to discover when and with what one should clean a carpet with. There were five different time periods including immediately after a stain was placed ion the carpet, half hour, hour, two hours, and one day. Each sample was tested eight times. This was because there was eight different ways to clean the rug. These eight ways included cleaning with an organic cleaner, inorganic cleaner, organic with hot water, inorganic with hot water, organic with cold water, inorganic with cold water, organic with double application, or inorganic with double application.
