The thought of water pollution is also running through many environmentalists’ minds. The build up of pollution in many surrounding lakes is becoming a threat to the way in which the people in the future may live. We can’t swim in some lakes such as lake St. Clair now; it could only get worse as more toxins are being released into the water. The water pollution will just get worse and the situation will spread to more lakes around Michigan and other rapidly growing industrialized areas.
