No HLV claims to be immortal, invincible, or possessed of supernatural abilities, although some have enhanced strength, stamina, immunity, et cetera, but these traits do not exceed the limits of human norms. They are born, age, and fully expect to die at the end of a conventional life span. They are also prone to illnesses, diseases, and injuries, like regular people. They can, and do, have children, have normal nutritional requirements, and are bound by natural law. These HLV’s hardly ever like to explain why they are what they are, and will express feelings of alienation. So, you never know who might be an HLV. Maybe someone you know, but they don’t show it at all. Secondly, some HLV’s are considered to be blood lusting, blood-craving vampires, so now I’ll discuss this topic. Blood vampires are humans who have a compulsion to consume blood, neither for eroticism, nor for emotional satisfaction. The real, technical term for these individuals is sanguinarian, but the term is used rather loosely. Most consume blood on a regular basis from willing human donors, but donors are really difficult to find. These donors cut or puncture themselves, using razor blades, lancets, or anything sharp, and they allow the individual to consume the blood. Most blood vamps insist that their donors undergo testing for blood-borne diseases, such as HIV and Hepatitis. Since donors are hard to find, these people sometimes go through what is called blood deprivation, or blood famine. The individual will find substitutes for blood, such as chocolate, milk, or even salt. These blood vampires are divided even further into severe and moderate blood vampires. Therefore, these people don’t kill, but people willingly give them blood. Thirdly, we are led to the psychic vampires. Psi-vamps feel a pronounced need to enhance their state of welfare by absorbing, or feeding on, energy from people. Three examples of energy are: pranic energy, which is energy produced by living things, and the biosphere as a whole, energy produced by psychic people, which is potent and invigorating for these individuals, and then there’s non-human energy, which some feel is more advanced, and less cruel, than draining humans. They do have an interest in blood, but don’t desire it as blood vamps do. The psi-vamps are also divided into two categories: conscious, who know what they are and how to keep control, and the unconscious, the exact opposite.
