This hatred for Germans aided him in his battles MA 2 against German fighters. Eventually, he will avoided getting to know his new comrades, so when they are killed, it wouldn’t be as painful. The Canadian government wanted to use him as a propaganda tool to stimulate rates of enlistment. He traveled around the country giving speeches, and telling lads to do their duty for king and country. In the last example, some of his comrades did not believe he attacked a German aerodrome by himself and destroyed three enemy aircraft. He would soon win a Victoria Cross for the attack, but some people doubted his story, this lead to one of the most controversial argument, in Canadian history. In addition to his childhood, and obstacles, his staggering accomplishments have been at the core of his fame and success. Billy Bishop has seventy-five confirmed victories making him to be the second greatest ace in the war.
