Some of the billions of dollars used on the space programs could have been spent on the unfortunate people who cannot meet the expenses for the services needed. Education should be a major issue because education is important and should be forced and made sure that there are proper environment and facilities for the students to have room for there educational studies. There also should be finances available for academic performers who have done well through the year to achieve these scholarships which would help them further there education. The American people should focus on there housing facilities, highlighting the fact that there are a group of homeless people on the streets and there could be some funds set in the direction of helping them get off the streets and into a better and environment. Also, the infrastructure such as the roads, schools, transportation, and communication systems should be well expanded and should be in appropriate conditions for the basic installations and facilities on which the continuance and growth of the community and the state. The opportunity cost, American people has argued that the money spent on space exploration should rather be used meeting the requirements of unprivileged people. If the nation can spend billions of dollars to send a man to the moon, it can also spend billions of dollars to improve the society. The benefits of the space programs are self-evident, no matter if there existent. These issues need to be taken into hand.
