The different cultures, the different personal values
...f “Used Car”. Maybe it is the only one good news for those poor people who can’t offer the new car. But, in my point of view, I don’t like to change the car frequently. “Make the best use of everything” is one of Chinese idiom. It’s also the best reason to explain that why I don’t want to change the car frequently. Have many of things can prove that American like to change. Like the mini-computer. They’re more and more slim, and more and more light. One more thing, American likes to change their work place. One of my best friends Andrea, she told me that she never work in the same place more than 1 year. Because of she does want to reach different people and learn different things in her life. Following the changing of the work place, she must move from one place to another place. This is another change, they’re often moving, change their house. That’s the big difference with our country people. My father worked for his company about 40 yrs. It means that he is never changing his work place in his whole life. People in my country, they don’t like to change things, neither I. If compare change with tradition, I prefer to choose following the rule of the tradition. The second personal value is about “hard work”. Obviously, American’s ancestor is hard work. When the first settlers arrived, all the resources of the North American continent were undeveloped. But, through out almost 3 century’s hard working, the North American is become the richest country in the world. ...
