..., I played football for four years and was captain my senior year. I was the defensive player of the game my sophomore year and offensive player of the game my senior year in the homecoming game. As quarterback, I led my team to back-to-back state final appearances. I also played baseball for four years and was captain my sophomore and senior years. In April 2003, I received the Cumberland Times/News Athlete of the Month Award for Beall. Being involved in sports has provided me with the opportunity to help with youth clinics in Frostburg for both baseball and football. Not only did I participate in sports in high school, but I was also a member of Hi-Y my junior and senior years, and a member of show choir my sophomore year. I have been involved in Little League Baseball for several years as an umpire. I am currently a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Cumberland and serve as an usher one Sunday a month. I am currently attending Allegany College of Maryland with my major being criminal justice. After receiving my degree, I hope to enter the state police program and become a Maryland State Trooper. I chose ACM because it offers an excellent criminal justice program and I also wanted to stay in my community. I believe having a degree in criminal justice will better prepare me for entry into the state police.
