I believe if I was the same age, but a girl, my dad wouldn’t of let me come near the controls of a machine. I believe that parents trust boys more and don’t worry about them getting hurt like they do for a girl. I know that’s true for how I was raised, because my parents worry about my younger sister twice as much than they did me at her age. The next picture in the sequence was taken at the same age as the first. It was shot at a water park near my home. We were at the park for my twelfth birthday party. About fifteen of my friends were there, not including my parents and my two sisters. This particular photo is of my friend Andy and I going down one of the waterslides. My friend and I are very outgoing, we are all over the place, and yelling. I feel boys in general and I was brought up to be a little bit more rugged and crazy than girls are. I know that right before and right after this picture was taken my friend and I were trying to push each other off the mat and trying to stop and wait for the next slider to catch up with us. As a male I feel it shows how I was wanted to grow up as being tough and outgoing. Because I'm still the same way now. I know my sister was brought up differently but learned to be the same way through a different upbringing because of being a girl. My last picture was at a very memorable place. I was ten years old in the picture. The photo was taken at Soldiers Field in Chicago at a 1994 World Cup soccer game. I’m with my best Fred who I have known my whole life. His mother and my own were also there. The game was between Bulgaria and Greece. We both have our brand new hats on that we had bought right before the game. In the background you can see the scoreboard and see that Bulgaria is winning three to two. This picture shows how I was raised to love sports. Which are how most fathers want their sons to be.
