Most teenagers, move out of their homes when they are eighteen years old. Some move away to go college, and others find jobs. There area also associations that will be able to help stop the situations at homes. Marriage will have its own problems. Being committed is followed by house work, large bills, responsibilities, and much more… Most teenage girls between the ages of thirteen and fifteen become confused and need time to find themselves. These teenage girls need attention and love, to help them reach adult hood. These girls are influenced by magazines and television to dress older. The media is confusing these girls, they feel lost. Teenage girls wonder if they should play the adult role of young women, or play the innocent role of young girls. They are in a confusing stage in their lives. The media however is not helping the teenagers of our society. Considering the pressure from the media, and the environments of schools today, many teenagers rush into marriage, thinking that they are ready to enter the next stage of their lives. Teenagers are not looking at marriage maturely; they are looking at marriage as a temporary thing. The media plays a big role when it comes to confusing young teenagers. Some people think that love will make couples get married and die in each others arms. But Love by definition is an emotion explored in philosophy, religion, and literature, often as either romantic love, the fraternal love of others, or the love of God based on the definition found in The Encarta Encyclopedia. As I looked for the definition by means of the Internet, books, and articles I noticed the definitions changed quite a bit, but yet had the same basic understanding. Some teenage girls start to feel thirsty for love; these are feelings that go back to the teenager’s childhood. Most of these girls come from broken families. Now these girls feel loved by their boyfriends, a feeling that they never got from their parents when they were young. The truth is that, if there is true love between two people it will last, and will Not fade away. True love will only grow stronger as time passes by. Teenagers should wait for a time when they are more mature to handle the hardships of a marriage. Teenage pregnancies are also one of the reasons why teenage boys want to get married. Abortion is not allowed by many families and states, so the teenage boy feels responsible and finds marriage the only right thing to do. Marriage is not the will of teenage boy, but he forces himself into it. The adult role of being a parent does not need to be followed the adult rule of being a husband. Becoming a parent is a role that takes extra time and care. Financial issues will cause major problems between the couple. If one finishes their education, and then gets married, the chances of the marriage to fail will decrease. One can accept the role of being a parent, but wait for a better time to get married. One-tenth of young women between the ages of 15 and 19 get pregnant every year, 83 percent of these pregnancies are unwanted or unplanned. Half of the unmarried teens who get pregnant do so within six months of their first sexual experience. In fact, between 1986 and 1990, teen childbearing increased by 16%. Without seeing doctors or receiving correct pre-natal care, the risk of complications for mother and child nearly quadruple. Not only can these complications include birth, but may also cause excessive bleeding and hemorrhaging of the mother.
