...ave was locked up in his mothers basement with no freedom, when he finally got it he was uncontrollable. I believe when a person freedom is taken away, when they taste freedom theydont know how to handle it. Regardless of the fact that Dave was out of his mothers home, he still had nightmares about her. He dreamed about her barking orders at her. Some psychologists would use dream analysis to find out the underlining meaning of the dream. Another dream Dave had was "The Mother" chasing after him in a long hallway with a knife in her hand. The hallway twisted and turned as he hunted for an escape. The Mother's voice echoed in his mind that he'll never escape her. Dave encounter Ms. Gold, who was from the county's protective service agency. Ms.Gold started to question Dave on the abuse his mother inflicted on him. He was afraid that his mother would come back and hurt him. So he wouldn't confide in her. I belive that this an example of resistance. Dvae had to overcome his fear of his mother in order to put his abuse in the past. Once while Dave was still living at Aunt Mary home The Mother came for a visit. Dave's mother was a master manipulator. He was mortified that The Mother would come and turn Aunt Mary against just as she turned his father and his brother's. Yet Aunt Mary was a strong-minded person and she knew The Mother was lying. To me being a foster you should be understanding but also careful around the biological parent. Their child didnt end up in foster care just because, there's a reason. The parent had to something or lack of something. Dave was placed in many more foster homes. He received a new social worker. Gordon Hutchenson wasn't as caring and understanding as Ms.Gold. Some qualities a social worker should have is willing to take the time to listen and be cooperative. Also sympathetic to the foster parent and child needs and willing and able to give the foster...
