trapping is Inhumane

...y-six foxes, fourteen caribou, ten coyotes, four golden eagles, three wolverines, and two grizzlies were also caught (Brown 4-5). If the animal is not dead, and the trapper releases them, they are seriously injured and will not be able to heal correctly, thus, eventually killing the animal. A small child or even adolescent might step in one of these powerful leg hold traps. It would not be deadly but a broken foot or arm would be sure to come. Animals, when caught in traps, realize that they will be killed if they don’t get away. Often times they will chew off the limb that is caught in the trap to escape. The animal will surely die as it will be unable to escape from predators and gather food properly as it once did. However, trapping is not all bad. Trapping is one method of controlling predator populations. If animals, such as, fox, coyote, raccoons and bobcat, grow to uncontrollable numbers, they will hurt other animal populations such as grouse, pheasant and woodcock. ...
