.... Cohen felt he could help Ryan more than just in the courtroom. He did have a son of his own, Seth, and of the same age. After negotiating with Mrs. Cohen Ryan moved into their pool house. Ryan and Seth Cohen became friends right away. A few days went by and school started. The girls at Newport High were crazy for Ryan and Seth couldn’t believe the attention he was getting from just being with him. Ryan saw Marissa Cooper out of all the other girls and knew he had to meet her. After being acquainted with her Ryan ran into more trouble when some of the guys of Newport became jealous that a guy from Chino swept Newport’s finest off her feet. Marissa seems to have a perfect life until she realizes her dad has been stealing money from friends and her mom wants a divorce. Her mom then begins a search of another rich man to marry for his money. She ends up with Mrs. Cohens father who is twice her age, but a wealthy developer of Newport. She messes up again when Marissa finds out she’s been having an affair and with one of her ex-boyfriends.
