...elf and impulsive decisions, I am now able to say I have definitely traveled the road more traveled. With some sort of maturity under my belt and a skeleton of a plan for my life and partner the journey begins. After moving back to Baton Rouge, and aquiring two serving jobs (waiting tables, new found knack), I felt as though this could not be the way towards retirement. After talking to my partner, Gary, we felt as though the only way for me to finally succeed at something that I am enjoying so much is to get my degree and there was really no way around it. Upon getting a call from one of the many black holes that take money, email you course work, grade it and spit out a diploma, we decided to act on this opportunity. During what I felt as several harassing phone calls at work in regards to my decision to continue with the program, the two of us sought other direction. Shae, a friend of ours, was able to prod us into checking out, “The University of Phoenix”, (scary hugh). Chris, my newly aquired, advisor and friend was able to walk me through the enrollment process to starting my homework.
