...d out with small steps like doing half my homework before dinner instead of waiting until after dinner to tackle it all. Not only did the quality of my work improve, but my life also became less stressful. Another simple thing I did was taping one of the ten o’clock shows I love watching so I could go to bed an hour earlier and get a good night’s rest. The next day I was able to watch the episode after dinner because most of my homework was done. After accomplishing simple things like that, managing my time better became a more realistic option. I definitely haven’t perfected my time management skills. After a week and a half, however, I was able to make a few simple changes that made my life less stressful and improved the quality of my work. It stands to reason that if I continue to practice these simple techniques of time management, I will have made some impressive improvements by the end of this school year. My other goal was to be more organized, and I chose this goal thinking it would be an easy thing to perfect but I realized I was wrong. I was already at the point where my organizational level was successful in school. I would write out my schedule for each day the night before, and during the day I would keep track of homework, etc. With this goal I made more of an improvement outside of school.
