I got the idea that they had left her something from this statement, “ They’d given me their treasure and so I had no need of diligence winning their love, or so showing reverence.” She also seemed like she might have been a little bit of a control freak, even over her husbands. The miller’s tale represented a man from the lover class as well. He was very open about telling of the wives and some of the ‘sinful’ matters. He does a good job reflecting how the lives of working men in the lower class are. Their jobs are tough and their wives long for more than they can at times provide. Some of this story seemed slightly unreal. For example when he is telling about all of the wonderful things the carpenters wife has. How could she have all of those wonderful things when a carpenter doesn’t make nearly the half of what it would take to get her those things? Other than that the story seemed to portray his life quite well. This story doesn’t exactly follow the standards for positively representing your self. In The Nun’s Priest the priest tells some stories that don’t exactly line up with the mainstream view of, well, a priest. For example when he is telling about the chickens basically having sex, this seems a little bit much for a priest to speak of public...
