Ideas can be recycled and reconstructed, changing a simple feature but keeping the basic design the same. The designer will approach each design in a different way. The slightest change in a design can make a big difference in somebody’s opinion, and is well worth attempting. The designer will explore with all different design elements and principles and see which suite the design brief most appropriately. Once again the client and designer will meet to discuss the concept designs and choose which to develop further. Compare all initial designs with the design brief and eliminate those which are irrelevant, considering the requirements and restrictions. One of the easier ways for a designer and client to eliminate choices is to set a benchmark.
