What is a good parent? That is a question many people have asked themselves. I do not think they will ever find an exact answer, becauce all children are different from each other and therefore they need different upbringings. I think that parents often blame themselves if their children do something they should not do. They start to trouble whether they have done the right thing or not, and they ask if they could have done something different. They will probably never get the answer and besides done is done! The text starts by telling how a boy is at a place where drugs, drunk people, cigarettes adn empty alkohol bottles are a big mess. Half-dead bodies are lying all over the floor and a thick smog fills the air. The story continues by telling how a woman has woke, and she finds out that he is not at home. At this point we do not know ho ”he” is, but s the story goes on we find out that ”he” is her son. The mother is broken-hearted because her son has not come home for the third time that month. She tells how they hardly do not speak with each other, except for the sons goodbye salute ”Off out, Mum”. When he has left, she is alone, and she tells us, that she often cries when he is not there. She remembers how he once was a happy, little baby with blue eyes, and she wonders what had gone wrong.
