The Gift of Rising to Your Potential
.... The curriculum I plan is activity based, student centered, creative and in constant change to meet the needs of the class. I encourage, I motivate, I laugh, I cry, I coax. I persuade and most of all I smile to let them know I care and love them. This is my gift to my students that they may rise to their potential. I am changing lives- I am cultivating “The Potential” in all my students. Teaching allows me to reach out and touch students, to inspire them, and to make a difference in their lives. The rewarding interactions and the relationships I have built with students, parents, and colleagues will be with me forever. Teaching has also allowed me to draw upon my creativity, experiment with new ideas, inspire others to be creative and think for themselves. I employ a variety of teaching techniques all designed to meet the various ways that students learn. These techniques include hands on activities, interactive power point presentations, and computer programs to reinforce information taught. I understand that each student has a learning style, and if you want students to grasp ideas more quickly, find out their style and give the whole class activities that suit every style through a combination of resources. This makes the class more active and more entertaining for them and me. My teaching style is also supported by my classroom environment.
