...ach day includes learning through art, music, dramatic play, and other activities that engage the 5 senses, so as to make sure to engage each child’s individual way of learning. Making knowledge more accessible to many types of learners who are at many different developmental levels. · Wholeness in learning - children learn in a global way, not in a compartmentalized way. I approach learning as a whole. For example 1. Realizing each project, lesson and activity is an arena for growth in all areas of development. (Social, emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual, creative….) 2. Integrated learning- Days of creation unit brings about discussions of thunder, lightening, clouds, evaporation, the cycle of water. This wholeness in learning is what is natural and healthy for children. · Flexibility in my lesson plans. Flexible in the implementation of lesson plans so as to take advantage of spontaneous or impromptu learning opportunities. I listen to discussions, comments and questions of the children to take advantage of the moment.
