The History of the Coffe Club

...McDonalds down the street from where Tim Hortons is. The group actually formed when a couple of friends would come in and sit for a cup of coffee after a morning walk across High Street to the expo. As time went by, more and more people began to join on these walks, which still continue today, and the groups size grew and grew. Eventually the group became so big the McDonalds told them they could not meet there in the mornings anymore because they took up to much space and only bought 1 coffee a piece. everyone came together to try to find a new place to meet at every morning and about this time, the Rax store was turned into a Tim Hortons. The group decided to meet here from now on. Most of the members of the club live around in the general area and went to Hamilton Local Schools and more specifically graduated from Hamilton Township High School. Other members have moved away from the area but still make the drive from Grove City, or German Village every morning to meet with their closest friends. The hot topics in the morning from what I was able to gather were health, politics, weather, and gas. Usually if one member is in the hospital for something, than they will go and visit them and get a card. Health is major for these senior citizens. Weather is also big however. Actually I was told that 6 of the most active members go to Florida to live for the summer to escape the cold Ohio winter. One of the funniest people in the group is named Woody. I have developed a great friendship with him and always greet him whenever he enters the store. He has had health issues in the past and sort of creeps when he walks now. Due to the way he walks, Bill Kramer calls him "Creepin' Jesus!" We have had conversations about everything I can think of in the years that I have known him from working at Tim Hortons. He always seems especially interested in how I am doing in school and makes sure I'm staying out of trouble. I would have to say, he is the member that I have bonded most with. T...
