Dr. Dre The song “Guilty Conscience” by Eminem ft. Dr. Dre is a good example of the scene the “Banquet: Banquo’s Ghost” because it illustrates someone not listening to their conscience. Macbeth ignored his conscience when he kills Banquo. When at the Banquet, Macbeth lived the conscience of not listening to his conscience. 7. The Cauldron: the apparitions make predictions “My Mind is Playing Tricks on me.” by Ghetto boys In this song the singer has completely lost it. Their mind is constantly troubled and they have hallucinations that feel very real. This mirrors the Cauldron scene because Macbeth sees apparitions that speak to him and it is uncertain whether these are real or simply hallucinations. Thus his “mind is playing tricks on” him. 8. For the murder of Lady Macduff, we chose the song “Where is the Love,” which was a question that we felt was raised after the murder of Macduff’s wife and son, a completely senseless murder of two innocent people. In the song the same question is raised. When the times are troubled, people are dying, killing, and others are living in poverty. Where is the love? 9. England: Planning Macbeth’s Overthrow “Breaking the Habit” by Linkin Park The song “Breaking the Habit” by Linkin Park coincides greatly with the planning of Macbeth’s overthrow.
