Schizophrenia in "a beautiful mind"
...s a series of events for Mr. Nash. He starts seeing a person which gives him objectives to crack down more codes, and to take these codes to a nearby house to drop the files down As he progresses with his objective, he starts believing that some one is following him to make him stop cracking codes. In general, people with schizophrenia also start believing that people are after them. People with schizophrenia also have panic attacks, due to the belief that they are being followed and watched, and cause them to have heart failures. His wife later on finds out about all this and they have talk. He goes to see a psychologist I believe and is given pills to help stop his hallucinations. Mr. Nash takes the pills, but is unable to act like a normal person. He can not take care of his child, he cannot carry a normal conversation and his wife is loosing his love for him. Seeing and realizing what the pills have done to him, he stops taking them and performs a little bit better for a while. After a couple of days without taking the pills, he starts seeing the man again and tells him he has not seen him in a while he goes back at cracking codes again. His wife realizes this and confronts him if he still sees the people, he says that they are real; he looks at the little girl and realizes that it is not real because the young girl has not aged at all. He still has trouble with it for a while but learns how to deal with it and goes back to teaching at his old school. This was a strong part that relates to p...
