How a car engine work

In addition, this burning of gasoline is inside the car engine and is known as the internal combustion engine. This internal combustion engine works with mostly all automobiles except for trucks since they use diesel engine, which they burn fuel oil instead of gasoline. Now, the internal combustion engine has four strokes. These four strokes are the process of converting gasoline into motion of a car. Before we can star talking about the four strokes, let me define some vocabulary. According to internet resources: Cylinder is the “core chamber of the car engine where the pistons moved up and down and combustion takes place, the cylinder is an enclosed space, sealed at one end and piston on the other. Piston is the cylindrical piece inside the cylinder. Lastly, the Valve is the intake and exhaust vales that open at a specified times to let in air and fuel and to let out exhaust.” The first stroke is called the Intake Stroke. While the valve is open, the piston in the cylinder moves down and the engine draws a mixture of both air and gasoline in the cylinder then the valve closes. The second stroke is known as Compression Stroke. The piston moves back up and it compresses both the air and the gasoline. This compression will make the explosion of gasoline more powerful.
