Arguementative WritingAbortion
... on? The child would have to see its mother killing herself every time she injected into her arm or took another swig from the vodka bottle. Why put a child or young adult growing up with this where abortion is available in the first place? Women who have been through a rape should not be looked down upon, if they choose to abort the product of the ordeal. If they know they couldn’t cope with a child its best for it not to be born than to destroy two lives with the pregnancy going ahead. Pro-life supporters believe the child should be put forward for adoption if the mother cant cope but would you want to carry a rapists child for 9 months, going through the pain and then pass it on the anyone? Another reason for abortion is a child with a disability. Some children are born with a form of disability and through struggle from them and the parents they can enjoy a good quality of life. Some however are born and they can’t walk, talk, eat, communicate, and think; they have no quality of life at all. The child would need 24 hour care, every minute, every hour, every day, every week, every month and every year for the rest of its life. Most of this care may come from the parents, I am sure if you were put in this position you would try and cope but would you get to the point where you had no life? You were living another person’s life for them? If a mother finds out this is the case it is her decision to have an abortion, the child would have no quality of life and the parents would loose their lives as a result of the child being born. These girls can sometimes go back to education when their children reach school age but many choose not to. The girls may end up in trouble with the law through theft for money to support the child, drug abuse, alcohol abuse or in abusive relationships. These children then have a childhood of abuse and pain and may grow up to get in exactly the same situations as their mothers. Why continue this vicious circle where abortion is available? These girls can mature into young women and hold down jobs to support a family. Abortion should be available to these girls; you should not think they got into the mess so it’s their problem. In Britain we have the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in Europe and this is because of education. To stop teenage abortions we must educate girls earlier and use different strategies. People who are pro life say human life begins at the moment of conception but could a baby be born and survive at the moment of conception? Only at 24 weeks there is a very small chance of survival rate with the help of machines being connected to the child for months after being born. The baby may also be born with disabilities, which parents will have to face with after a period of time where they and doctors do not even know if the child will survive. Another argument pro life supporters say is that babies can fee...
