What is your idea of a perfect vacation?
...o want to relax in the quiet of nature. The water of the lake is so clean that I can observe small fish on the shallow water. Once I spent a lot of time by nourishing them. It was interesting to see the “jungle life” when bigger fish were so greedy that even after they got full they still did not give a chance for small fish to eat the dough I gave them. After they got accustomed to me, many fish started to eat from my hands. Their most favorite food was warms and cheese, bread and dough was less tasty in their opinion. The large population of gamefish inhabiting Lake Lanier makes it attractive for fishermen. Striped bass, largemouth bass, crappie and other popular species are a desired trophy for everyone. Trout fishing below Buford Dam rates among the best in the state. The cool waters released by the dam provide an excellent habitat for brook, rainbow and brown trout. Unfortunately, I have caught none there and took a decision not to try any more. Well, may be I am just not so professional fisherman. One reason to vote for this lake is its proximity to metropolitan Atlanta. Indeed, as for me twenty-five minutes of driving to the lake is more attractive then to take a long-term vacation. Manor and major problems which accompany oversea vacations poison the very core of the sense of this event; visas and passports, customs and variety of levels of terrorist attacks, planes and reservations are other side of visiting Paris, Rome, and another wonderful places. In contrast with all of these nuisances, getting up with the sunrise in order to reserve a lovely place on the lake is a pleasure and not considered as a torture. The Lake Lanier is a right place for the perfect vacation because of the well-developed road network surrounds it, with several highways crossing the main body. People can enjoy the city of Atlanta and, in the space of a short drive, can lose themselves in the tranquility at the lake. Lake Lanier Islands is the attractive resort area on the lake.
