...acbeth provides an example of the strength and confidence she possesses by persuading Macbeth to kill Duncan. She is one of the plays most famous and frightening female characters.(1.7.42-46)…(1.7.59-64)In these quotes, Macbeth has just concluded in saying that he wont kill Duncan, when Lady Macbeth becomes furious and begins to question his manhood, persuading him so that he will go on with the murder to prove himself. She emphasizes her own strength by declaring that she would rather kill her child than withdraw from a solemn commitment. Macbeth finally agrees to proceed when Lady Macbeth presents her plan. It is easy to understand that one of the main characters in the play would be Lady Macbeth, a strong, ruthless, and more ambitious being than her husband. Lady Macbeth had a remarkable strength of will to carry through the murder of the king even though she had to get drunk, taking control and covering up the scene. (2.2.60-64) In this quote despite that even she was very intense from just murdering the king, she took control steadying her husbands nerves, assigning him things to do in order to leave no trace of evidence by washing there hands, returning the daggers to the chamber and to smear the blood onto the soldiers.
